It's cold outside

Note: What should appear above, in the applet and/or object tag, is two images, after they have downloaded. Not exciting I know. This is primarily a test ground for java classes before I use them elsewhere on the site. Only when I am confident they will work reliably on most 6+ browsers will I launch them on the site for real as it were.
