My Armchair favourites

Here I pass on the armchair favourites of a modern two year old and his elder sister, and maybe me and the misses.
Wallace and Gromit - Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005)
Rating: **** Cinema favourite
A must see recommendation - we cannot wait for the video so we can rewatch it a million times at home! Well I love it David is not as keen but I out it on when I can. You see something new every time you watch it.
The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie (2004)
Rating: ***** Current favourite
83 minutes long. Our version is VHR5515 'U' RatingThis was bought on holiday and turned out to be a favourite for the youngster though chosen by the eldest child. Tells the tale of the hero and his side-kick journeying to get back King Neptune's crown from Shell City but the story isn't the highlight. Packed with all the normal Sponge Bob honour and childish fun this is a winner (and one I enjoyed).
You don't need a licence to drive a patty wagon!
CSI
Rating: *****
Several series available on DVD. Our version is '12' RatingThe original Las Vegas edition is preferred here. Grisham is king.
Link: CBS/CSI - great website and the PC game isn't bad either.
The Incredibles (2004)
Rating: *****
111 minutes long. Our version is D881558, U RatingThe misses and I enjoyed this one. Not allowed the youngster to see it because of the mild violence. Fantastic effects for an animated film and great jokes.
I Robot (2002)
Rating: ****
109 minutes long. Our version is 23232, 15 RatingMore a detective story than out and out robots. I enjoyed this one and the kids have not seen it as it is not suitable for delicate eyes. The bonus stuff was also worthy a watch for techy buffs. Special effects are excellent though nowadays you take for granted until you see a bad one and this isn't.
A Grand Day Out by Nick Park (1993)
Rating: *****
22 minutes long. Our version is VHS video BBCV 5155 'U' RatingNothing like good old Wallace and Gromit. It tells the story of Wallace and Gromit's trip to the moon one bank holiday to taste the cheese there. There they meet an old 'cooker' (I think) that comes to life when a coin is inserted in the slot and then the adventure really takes off! And of course it won an Oscar, Nick's second.
A Close Shave by Nick Park (1995)
Rating: ****
30 minutes long. Our version is VHS video BBCV 5766 'U' RatingI think the sheep make this for David. This time the heroes take on a sheep rustling duo! The action content is greater then previous outings for the hapless pair and the Aardman team do it proud, (Ed. I also like the flagrant plugging of Nick's home town - where I live. There were bits where he seemed slightly scared but the sheep helped.
Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams (1993)
Rating: **
192 minutes long. Our version is VHS video BBCV 5135 'PG' RatingI was surprised he even wanted to watch this one. Too long and not enough sheep. Occasional glimpses of things that could be the moon probably got most attention.
